Global Market Update
- On November 4, 2024, the U.S. 10-year government bond yield closed at 4.2847%.
- Australia’s Judo Bank Composite PMI Output Index rose to 50.2 in October from 49.6 in September, indicating a slight increase in private sector output. Growth was minimal, as higher services activity nearly offset the continued decline in manufacturing.
- Singapore’s S&P Global PMI fell to 55.5 in October from 56.6 in September, indicating the slowest private sector expansion since June. New orders grew more slowly, while output growth accelerated, and employment rose for the sixth month. Backlogs increased sharply, though purchasing activity stalled as rising new orders were balanced by reduced purchasing at some firms.
